The consultation before your first visit is free. Send us a photo of your hair as it is now and one of the hairstyle you would like, and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

Character isn't copied. It's cut.
CARACTHAIR joins two words: character and carat. The first is what we look for in every client. The second is how we work: like a gem cutter who takes away only enough for what is already there to shine.
We don't reproduce trends from a screenshot. We look at your face shape, your hair's texture, how you carry yourself, how much time you have in the morning and where you'll be photographed. Only then do we pick up the scissors.
The result is a look that still holds three weeks later, not just three hours.

Kotnikova ulica 34, five minutes from the railway station.
The studio is in central Ljubljana, in the Tabor neighbourhood of Poljane, at the north end of Kotnikova ulica, about 50 metres from Masarykova cesta, on the ground floor. The Mercator shop (Kotnikova 32) is right next door and Ljubljana bus station is across the road.

On foot
- Railway station (Trg OF): 5 to 6 minutes
- Ljubljana bus station, temporary site on Masarykova: 1 to 3 minutes, depending on the platform
- Prešernov trg and the Triple Bridge: about 15 minutes
- Metelkova and the museum quarter: 4 minutes
By city bus
- Friškovec stop: lines 2, 9 and 25, a 3-minute walk
- Kolodvor stop: lines 2, 9 and 25, a 4-minute walk
- Suburban lines stop at Ljubljana AP, a 4-minute walk
- Pay with an Urbana card or a contactless bank card. Routes around the station change during the building works, so check lpp.si before you travel.
By car and parking
- Approach along Masarykova cesta from the east and turn right into Kotnikova; there is no left turn from Masarykova.
- Metelkova ulica car park (JP LPT), a 2-minute walk: 89 spaces, €1.50 an hour from 6 am to 10 pm, every day.
- Kozolec car park (entrance from Dvoržakova ulica), a 12-minute walk.
- Street parking is charged every day from 6 am to 10 pm, weekends included. Pay at the meter, with an Urbana card or in the Urbana app. Check prices at lpt.si.
- Masarykova cesta is being rebuilt, so allow a few extra minutes at peak times.
By bike
- The BicikeLJ station Masarykova DDC (Masarykova cesta 14) is a 2-minute walk from the studio.

What you ask us most
What if I don't like the result?
Tell us within 14 days and we'll correct it free, with the same stylist or another, as you prefer.
Why a consultation before the first visit?
Because the biggest fear with a new stylist is not being heard. We agree the look, time and price before anything is cut. It takes 15 minutes, in the studio or by video call.
Can you fix colour that went wrong elsewhere?
Yes. Colour correction always starts with a consultation and a strand test. Sometimes it takes two visits; we tell you that up front.
How does a private appointment work?
Tick it when booking. You get a slot outside regular hours, when there are no other clients in the studio. The supplement depends on the time.
What is the cancellation policy?
Reschedule or cancel free up to 24 hours ahead; 48 hours for longer colour services.
